Cosmetic & General Dental Services

According to Bentham, a visit to the dentist should not be a scary experience. So, he and his staff work hard to put patients at ease, both through the welcoming atmosphere found throughout his office and the collaborative process he likes to establish with his patients regarding their dental care, before, during and after your visit. In addition to regular checkups and dental care, Bentham is skilled at providing root canals, cosmetic dentistry, crowns, bridges and implants and the use of an argon laser, which can eliminate the need for freezing.

We are happy to discuss with you our Upper Anterior Reposition Appliance for bite issues, which helps with breathing and snoring issues.

When do I need a Crown?

Dentists use crowns if the original tooth is cracked, chipped, or broken; if it requires a filling that’s too large for the tooth to support, if the tooth has too much decay or is too worn, or if it’s extremely discolored or misshapen. A tooth is also crowned to cover a dental implant or hold a bridge in place.

Do I need a Filling or a Root Canal?

Fillings will be recommended if your tooth has a smaller cavity or minor tooth decay that hasn’t reached the pulp of the tooth. While the goal of a root canal is to prevent further damage to the tissue, a filling is primarily meant to restore the function and appearance of the tooth. Root canals can save a tooth and clear infection, and typically last for close to 10 years.
